Rena Sofer

  Rena Sherel, born on December 2 1968 was an American actress. She is most famous for her work on daytime TV, episodic guest appearances and made-for-television movies. Sofer won an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her performance in the role of Lois Cerullo of the soap opera General Hospital. She played the role Quinn Fuller in the CBS soap drama The Bold and the Beautiful, from 2013 to 2022.





 Childhood and early life



 Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) Professor of Psychology, and Martin Sofer, an Orthodox Rabbi.





 In 1970, she relocated to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and father. However, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania as a youngster. They were brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She went on to attend the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey in the town where her father was Rabbi of the synagogue Temple Beth El. She attended North Bergen High School, later attending classes at Montclair State College.





 Career



 Television during the daytime



 Lois Marie Cerullo was Lois Marie Sofer's first role in General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as the manager of a group. Her first role on television was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap opera that revolved around Loving (1988-91).
