Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. Born on 11th November, 1966. Alison Doody made her movie debut as a Bond girl in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Approached by a photographer Doody decided to take up modeling, which turned into the profession of commercial modeling. Doody strictly avoided glamour, nudity and thongs in her modelling career. Having come to the attention to the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody made an appearance on John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising new actors for 1986. 38. Doody had just turned age 18 when she took on the role of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl to date. In 1987, Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody was a silent actress in the 1987 version to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role to date as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody acted with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. The role she played was Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody came back to acting in 2003 with a minor role on her role in the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. Doody was a co-star, along with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. in 2010 Doody played a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Doody appeared on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first season of two in the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and received a Star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
